Blanche Kirchner received her art education from teachers at American Univeristy and the Corcoran School of Art. She has studied extensively under a number of prominent artists in the greater DC area. Her paintings hang in private collections locally and abroad. Mrs. Kirchner is best know for her portraits and has had several works commissioned for public figures in Virginia. She has been a painter and art instructor in Arlington County for 50 years. She currently conducts classes in her private studio. Blance was one of the first members of the Art League in Northern Virginia, which began in the 1950’s, and also belongs to the Vienna Society of Artist and the Rehobath Art League. Blanche is also a poet and has published a children’s book.
