The title refers to the Vietnamese word that means Tomorrow (ngai mai), the famous flowers she
is holding(cay mai) and a reverence name for aunt (am mai).
I lived in Vietnam from 1957 to 1966. For years I didn't visit that experience. Surprisingly, more than 30 years later when I took my initial class on watercolor, I painted 10 large paintings of this land and it's people. I didn't know I could paint and and I didn't realize my love of Vietnam was so deep.
